I have grown

Warning: This is going to be a long post.

I'M BACK!

It is only a matter of another four months and I will be done with my secondary education. I have come this far and I have to say, it hasn't been easy! Probably because I haven't been putting in my best effort. Anyway, thinking about the fact that I have to make my decision about my future as soon as possible, I looked through some courses that certain polytechnics offer and decided on the subjects I was to take if I were to enter a junior college. Well, it's all going to happen next year you see! NEXT YEAR!

For one reason or another, my school has been only introducing polytechnics to its graduating students. Not a word about junior colleges! Surprising! But, no. I have to make it into a college. It not only gives me the idea of making my parents happy, but, also, I personally believe I will be happier in such an environment. I have been thinking of getting into any college at all. But, of course the ones that are slightly above the average. Nice one. But, it will all, I have to remember, come only with pretty much of my hardwork.

After college studies, I'm determined to enter NUS and pursue my career, whatever it may be. I was very determined to make it into the medical industry at first, either as a peadiatrician or a gyneacologist. But then again, very recently, I have been considering law and psychology as well. I don't know. Everything is as interesting and seems to attract my attention. For me, it's not going to be about passion. My passion's music. But, I don't really have intentions of taking up music as my real career.

I guess I will have to just give it a little more time. But, I can say, for now maybe, that there are higher chances of me choosing law, as now I can see that my Chemistry, a very very significant subject for medicine, is weak. Very weak.

Anyway, leaving the serious side of me aside, let's talk about me. I'm one year older now, though it hasn't made much of a difference at all. Held a celebration, having invited all of family and just five of my girlfriends. Oh, how pathetic, I thought!

It was a nice party. But, nothing much happened to say about. Oh! But, the cake was marvellous! I loved it! Uh, then, I loved all my presents. One of my cousins got me a pair or purple dangling earrings with a matcing necklace. It was soooo pretty and gorgeous that I couldn't wait and wore it the next day itself to go out. Haha! It was really really pretty. Like me! I got several other presents! Bags, jewellery, a watch, cash and yada yada yada. I'll let the pictures do the talking later, at the end of the post.

Now, wait a minute! I'M SIXTEEN! Happy birthday, Dharshini!

Oh, yes. After much consideration, I have started my hunt for a man who can sing at least almost as perfectly as A R Rahman and Hariharan. These two men (and of course many more), have voices that have the power to melt my heart the moment I hear them. The man I find at last, will be the man I will want to spend the rest of my life listening to sing! Kidding!

Hariharan

A R Rahman

Hariharan has been singing for years and is over fifty years of age. But, never judge his voice by his age. He sounds as young as a dazzling young man even now. A R Rahman, both a music director well-known and a singer with a unique voice, is my favourite. His voice is different from others. Different in a way where he can sound so innocent and soft at one time and then so determined and strong at another! Very powerful vocals! I'm flattered!

It's amazing what one's voice can do! It can change the mood of one's mind at any moment without much effort and inspire one's heart for the better in a jiffy! I think it is super beautiful and one must be very lucky to be able to sing! Espesially so, if it is for one of Rahman's perfect works of music. Ah!
I'm so not shy to say that I have dreams of getting an opportunity to sing for Rahman one day or another. What to do! I'm so in love with him! He's my new crush now. My new found love. I don't mind living each day with just listening to him sing! Hah! Oh, Rahman! Silly me!

Actually, I really admire anyone who can sing so beautifully at all! It' not a talent, people. It's a gift. A gift from God! I dont' believe the fact that the ability to sing is inherited. No. Not at all. If you were born to make a difference in people's lives with your voice, then so be it. May you be gifted! And Hariharan and Rahman are obviously the perfect examples.

I'm behaving in such a way, thanks to two recent songs. Aaruyire from Guru: music and voice by Rahman and then Vaaji Vaaji from Sivaji sung by Hari and music by Rahman. I love the former! It's depicted oh so beautifully. He sounds so innocent and harmless. Ah! Just don't have any words to describe it!

Ok then. I guess I've said too much. So here are the pictures to my birthday party.
