SECOND
Let me get to the point. Since I'm sick of being long-winded. And boring.
On Friday, Nivethika and I represented Anderson JC in a singing competition organised by St Andrew's JC. We sang a duet song: Yen Enakku. It was almost perfect ok. And the four other pairs who were against us were fineee. But, we thought we were really gonna win! Then, when we met the judges later during the break, they praised us a lot and told us it was a tie between us and another couple. Awww. So, we had to sing another song to prove to them we are the best. But, well, we lost to them in presentation though. So, they won it. And we were placed second. But hey! The competition was tough ok. And we really did put in a lot of effort! And second place is no that bad afterall!
And the best thing is, both of us were dressed in pink and we looked GOOD!! Oh. And i would like to thank my parents and our friends, Priya, Banu, Shena, Sharmini, Inthu, Revathi, our senior Punitha and our other seniors for being there for us. Thanks!!
Well, Nive, good job, babe! Really enjoyed all those practice sessions and the hugs of assurance before our item! Love you so much!
And you know, you know, there is this guy from Millenia Institute who sang SAHANA SAARAL with his partner. I thought he sounded super good! He had a very nice, well defined voice. It was nice listening to him sing. And guess what, after the show ended, I was just having a small chat with my parents when he came up to me and congratulated me. And praised me so much for having such a great voice and that he really liked the way I sing and that I should continue singing and yada...yada. Haha! Awwwwww. I was soooo flattered! Thank you so much man. Hope to meet you again and tell you you have a nice voice too, since I didn't get the chance to do so on Fri. Keep it up!
At this point in time, I'd like to mention something that Chandiramogan told me. The best thing an entertainer can ever experience is the praise from people at the end of the show. He told me that he expects a lot of discipline during our performances and that we put in a lot of effort so that people praise us from the bottom of their hearts. That is when we will know if we are truly worth it to step on stage. And perform our best.
And now, I agree with him totally. Do you know how happy and satisfied and proud of myself I was when a number of people came up to me and praised me... in front of my parents and friends. Atleast I know I have the ability to touch people's hearts. Atleast I know I reach out to them.
I thank God. I thank him.
End of post.
p.s: I'm in love.
